WE BUILD FOR
WEATHERSIDES
Nørdlicht and Fräse is a studio for architecture and interiors, based in Hamburg-Altona and Refshaleøen, København. We work exclusively at locations within ten kilometres of saltwater.
The studio grew from a shared workshop — not from an office building. We hold to this. Each year we take four to six projects, each with one colleague from the studio from first meeting to key handover. No junior rotation, no outsourced site management.

// Approach
ProzessProcessProcesMaterial before style. Substance before image.
Site Visit
We come to the location, not to present. First meeting always on site, with sketchbook and test drill.
Material Sample
Within three weeks we deliver a real materials board. No moodboard. We test salt resistance on the model, not on screen.
Construction
One dedicated site manager from the studio per project. We do not send plans to a general contractor.
Maintenance
Annual inspection for five years after completion. We want to see how our assumptions age.
